Dislocation Dynamics

Fundamental Dislocations Processes include the operation of dislocation sources, dislocation-dislocation interactions, and dislocation interaction mechanisms with various crystal defects. We are particularly interested in understanding the physical nature of dislocation behavior. Through computer visualization techniques, we hope to learn more about the basic mechanisms which influence the plasticity of metals.
